Between forests and hills, the river Ahr meanders through a mystical, foggy autumn landscape. Amidst this idyll a man awakens in the middle of a vineyard. He does not know who he is, where he is or how he came to be here. Next to him is a dead young woman lying among the vines. As a foreigner in the secluded town in the Ahr valley he enters an archaic village community, which seems to keep a secret from him.

S01E01
13:48 - A mysterious woman enters Johannes 's room at the inn and has sex with him. He has amnesia. The scene is nude but it's shot in an abstract way.
18:30 - The next morning, the innkeeper introduces the mysterious woman to Johannes as his wife, Hanna. Well, he's not exactly sure if she was indeed the mysterious woman who had sex with him last night.

28:20 - Hanna enters Johanne's room again. He starts making love to him but she stops him, saying she can't, and leaves.

35:40 - Hanna's husband tries to rail her but fails.
48:17 - A devout Christian wife kisses the Asian priest in the church. He takes her to a private room where they have implied sex.

13:40 - Johanne asks Hanna if she was the one who slept with him on his first night at the inn, to which Hanna replies, "So what if I did?"
24:31 - The devout Christian wife dresses up, leaves home without her ring and goes to the church, expecting to have sex with the Asian priest again, but he rejects her this time, saying they shouldn't continue their affair anymore.
