I am sincerely apologize for not be able to answer your question because I do not Japanese. My guess for the ending is the girl chooses the strange guys over her bf because they share more in common ? 

I think both of them get married in the end leaving the poor bf alone. 🙁 I would be very jealous for such ending. Anyway, it is only a movie so unrealistic is normal. 

The girl looks cute tho 🙂
