Script, acting and production values suffer in this film, if I had to guess this is a porn movie company’s attempt in a more mainstream film.
Tom is married to Maddie, he works as a car detailer, she works in a boutique. But Tom is a frustrated writer (LOL this guy a writer)
They meet a rich couple who interest Maddie in the swinger / sex party lifestyle. Tom doesn’t want any part of it. Maddie starts fucking the rich husband, Tom is unaware. Maddie convinces Tom to attend a party at the rich couple’s place. Tom loses track of Maddie, eventually walks into a room with 20 people watching his wife get railed by the rich guy. (The emotions shown by Tom here are Oscar worthy).
Maddie moves in with the rich couple, and schemes to replace the rich wife in the rich couple’s marriage. Rich wife learns of her plan, stops it dead in its tracks. Maddie comes home tail between her legs, all lovey-dovey for Tom, instead finds a note. Oh oh. Tom has won a publishing contract and is starting a new life as a writer, wishes her well in the future. Maddie reads the note in tears.

Fatal Affair (2020, US)
Does a married woman making out with a man at a club, having him take off her panties, count as cheating?
Let’s say it does, and certainly the wife is regretful in this movie. This Netflix film has the tired, old Lifetime movie script of wife cheats on husband, boyfriend is CRAZY and gets murderously possessive over her, and tries to fuck up her and her family.
Ellie is long married to Marcus, they have a daughter in college. She seems to have a perfect life.
Enter David, newly hired by her firm, Ellie knew him in college. After work David invites Ellie for drinks. Ellie tells David “I have a perfect marriage, but one day you wake up 20 years later and you realize the person sleeping next to you feels like complete stranger”. A wife should not be telling this to another man especially when she’s out for drinks with him.
Some slow dancing, David starts kissing her, she runs to the bathroom. Comes out, David’s there, starts kissing her again she kisses back, moves her to counter, lifts her up on it, she’s sitting. Takes off her panties, unzips his fly… and that’s enough for Ellie. She tells him No and runs home.
Tells her husband about David she almost screwed David because “I was drunk and got caught up in a situation, the last thing I wanted to do was hurt you. I’m sorry”. She really can’t give him any good reason what she did. A few scenes later tells a distant Marcus “I’m sorry, I’m sorry for all of it”. They make up.
The rest of the movie she tries improving her marriage and dealing with crazy David when he starts leaving a trail of bodies all over town and nearly kills everyone in her family. Tired old plot, difficult to recommend this.
How many movies about married women whose lover then becomes obsessed and wants to kill her and her family have they made? I've lost count. Lol. They always do that plot.
