It was an average movie actually, made in cooperation of the USA and Russia for to promote World Cup 2018 in Russia in not very direct way. The plot is about American footballer (soccer player) Ryan Hawkes (played by Liam McIntyre, famous for his role in TV Show Spartacus). He got injured because of the car accident and is going to miss the World Cup in Russia (which is actually weird, because USA didn't qualify). So he has to reboot his career and to think more about his life. He decides to spend a month on a ship cruise.
There he meets Russian hot blonde Lana which works in tbe bar on that ship. She is actually married and has a little son Danny which is fan of Ryan and watches every his games. Danny stayed in Saint Petersburg. Lana has a huge crisis in relationships with her husband, typical bad Russian guy, rude and alcoholic but she hadn't divorced, instead of that she was engaged to work for a month on the ship for to get distracted from her bad life.
Obviously Ryan and Lana has romance because it was necessary for the plot. Lana doesn't tell that she is married. They walk, have dinner together, they kiss. Next morning she tells that she is actually married, but he doesn't care, calls her special and kisses. In the next scene they screw, but it's boring and brief scene, mixed with cute scenes how they walk and hug. 01:05:11.
The only thing which makes that romance interesting is the fact that her son Danny loves Ryan as his favourite football player. and later he realizes that he also screws his hot mom and even replaces his real father. That's not very common situation.
Ryan and Lana have a deal to meet later in Saint-Petersburg in one square, but she can't go there because her son got injured and was taken into hospital. Ryan finds her only occasionally, because other famous footballer (actually rather primitive promotion of some charity activity of the football club Zenit) takes him to the hospital where Danny gets medical help. Ryan meets Danny and finds a napkin with his autograph he gave his mommy before he screwed her. Danny asks if he knows his mom, and he says "Oh yeah, I do know her!" he said recalling sweet moments with her in the bed. Happy end! Before that she declared her husband that she is going to divorce, he insults her and promises to take her son.
Actually it was funny and sad in one time to see Liam McIntyre in such weak movie. His career actually ended in 2017, and he appeared in this movie in 2019, probably forgotten and abandoned by everyone. He got the second chance like his character. And he looked like an actor twice better than anyone there.
