The plot
A strange assignment takes Jussi Varensen to dark landscapes. Annaliisa Vaara's body has been found on the edge of the old cemetery, and the local police and the Central Criminal Police have not found any trace of the culprit. In the small church village of Kahdenvirtanmaa, there are strictly believers.
Preacher Taisto Raappana and vicar Hukkanen have enough listeners. The arrival of the town boy Varek does not go unnoticed by the village residents - especially the women. But Vareks has more important concerns: someone seems to want him dead.

While the two are having sex, they are interrupted. Elisabeth leaves for a moment to see.
This gives Vares time to search through her things. Vares finds a prescription for birth control pills!
When Elisabeth returns, Vares wants to pick up where they left off, but she tells him he'd better leave and that this will be their last meeting.
In the next scene, Elisabeth is lying in bed, her husband kneeling beside her, praying for a child!
(He doesn't know that his wife is taking pills). Elisabeth joins him in his prayer and pretends to pray with him.
Sulander, the boss of Taisto, Elisabeth’s husband (he seems to have a great influence on him), summons him to his office and asks him to intervene with an old woman to steal her house and put it in his name.
(The two are scheming together because Sulander covered for him the death of a prostitute with whom Peter had sex)
Then comes, for me, the best scene in the film: we see Peter arrive home by car at night. He gets out of the car and sees a car parked in front. He is surprised and decides not to go in!
But instead he goes to the back of the house and looks through the bedroom window; he hears his wife's moans! He approaches quietly, and Peter can't believe his eyes: his wife is completely naked, being taken doggy-style against the bed by Sulander!
Taisto continues to watch his wife being fucked. He looks up at the wall of his bedroom and sees his rifle.
He decides to call someone and tells him they need to meet.
He waits for Sulander to leave before confronting his wife. Elisabeth tells him she doesn't love Sulander (thank God).
And that Sullander was blackmailing her because of what he had done and that he knew something about his past!
Taisto approaches her and tells her that he also knows something about her past!
He puts his hand on the night light and takes a box of birth control pills and throws it on the bed.
(we don’t know why Elisabeth doesn’t want to have a child with him)

This guy has 0 idea about anything. Jura was produced by SIC network ( Portugal ). I contacted them multiple times few years ago to think about uploading this series on their streaming service. They finally released it on their official streaming network called OPTO few months ago ( YES FEW MONTHS AGO ). I had forgotten about this series and remembered about it just few days back thus the above post. Now tell people here how how your fake-ass got this series '7-8' years ago when the digital release of this series happened just few months back by the production network?
