In this world, women have a rip-roaring time. They politic – Zoe Wanamaker’s Celtic monarch Antedia; fight – Kelly Reilly as Princess Kerra; and fornicate – Amena (Annabel Scholey), the wife of Kerra’s brother who, for dynastic reasons, gets to have two husbands, one of whom is the not unhandsome Stanley Weber. Her other less picturesque husband has to stand back and think of the tribe while his wife attempts to conceive a dynastic baby.

I wonder if this is considered cheating, but there's a dynamic of cuckolding, humiliation, and sexual hierarchy between the throuple.

Even though Amena is lucky enough to have two partners, she only seems to screw one.

Phelan: is the son of King Pellanor and heir to the Cantii tribe. He is married to Amena, who is using him as a means to ascend to the Cantii throne. Due to the Druid's edicts, Amena is also married to Lindon, the son of a Gallic Chief which strains their relationship. Phelan is diplomatic, strategic, and rational – the opposite of his more wrathful father. Unfortunately, these traits mean his people and his wife view him as weak.

Lindon: is the son of a Gallic Chief, married to Amena at the behest of the Druids to strengthen alliances between the two nations. However, he is much more interested in Kerra. Lindon is an asset to the Cantii tribe, and his prowess on the battlefield is something that Amena uses to humiliate Phelan. Lindon is aware of Amena's true ambitions, and the fact that she uses him to spite her husband, but maintains his duty as a husband out of loyalty to the tribe.

Amena: is the queen-in-waiting for the throne of the Cantii tribe. She is married to the heir, Phelan, and to the son of a Gaulish prince, Lindon, at the Druids’ order. Amena cares about nothing but the throne and will do anything to achieve her goal.

Phelan is jealous of Lindon and doesn't hesitate to send him into traps to try to get rid of him, which eventually happens! Lindon is captured during a mission, but he manages to escape upon his return. During a gathering, Lindon recounts what happened to him. Amena arrives and shouts 'husband'. Phelan turn around, believing that she was speaking to him, but she only kisses Lindon. Then she asks the chief if she can take him to be treated.

At the end of the gathering, Phelan returns home and walks in on his wife having sex. She sees him, but continues regardless. Lindon refuses and asks her to stop, even going so far as to be a little rough with her. Amena isn't happy at all and asks Phelan what he wants.

Side note: Amena covers her breasts while talking to Phelan, even though he's supposed to be her husband. This implies he's not even allowed to see her naked!
This is clearly a Cuckold/Hotwife/Bull relationship in a maistream tv series where the husband is not allowed to screw his wife!

Sins of the Bride (2024, US)

A bride's fiance doesn't show up for the wedding ceremony, she finds comfort that night with the best man 20:30 No nudity. As they're getting dressed, the woman gets a call - her fiance was mugged and is in hospital and therefore had a good reason to have missed the ceremony. Oh the bride's regret.

This is a Lifetime movie, and they trot out their tired old plot line here, the best man is CRAZY. But there's a twist, he not only has shagged the bride, but he also shagged the groom!

The best man wants a throuple with the bride and groom and so he kidnaps them, ties them up and controls them with sedatives, living his dream life.

This is a well made film, cinematography, sound, acting's not bad. That screenplay though...  I got some entertainment from this watchiing it as a laugher.
