Plot

The two young men ended up killing Cecilio. Gabi then realized that the farmer wasn't the man who had attacked her.
The three young men were city dwellers who had come to the small, isolated village for the weekend: Gabi was a bookseller, Esteban a teacher, and Pedro a photographer. The two men were speleologists and had been summoned by the villagers: a cave had recently been discovered nearby, the locals hoped it would attract tourists, and they had done their best to accommodate the three young men.
The mayor dreams of seeing the cave become a second Altamira, and on Saturday evening, upon their arrival, he showed the speleologists the entrance to the cave.
In the village, intrigues, resentments, and frustrations simmer: Rosa, the mayor's wife, is sleeping with Tomas, a young guardia civil (civil policeman), recently married to the daughter of Amadeo, his brigadier; Rosa dominates her lover, manipulates him, and, sure of her hold over him, dares him to break up...
