This is based on the 1930 novel by Evelyn Waugh, now considered a masterpiece of 20th century English literature. A scathing, satiric story of the English upper class, as selfish, venal, phoney. Doesn't deliver quite that dramatically as a movie, hard to cheer for anyone in this, and has an unpleasent, unconventional ending. (Was nominated for Oscar for costume design).

Tony and Brenda live in luxury on Tony's estate, featuring social events like riding to hounds. Brenda (played by a pretty Kristin Scott Thomas) is bored and starts an affair with a pennyless friend of Tony's. Tony is oblivious, he's trusting in British tradition and society norms for everyone to behave properly. 

24:00 In London after a fancy dinner with her boyfriend, Wife kisses him in car on way to a party.

Brenda is very cruel, tells her husband she wants to take economic courses in London so she can better manage the estate, and therefore needs a flat in London. Of course it's a sham, it's a love nest so she can fuck her boyfriend. 

29:15 phones her husband from her her new flat, telling him all about it. Camera pans around the room, boyfriend is tying his tie in the mirror.

35:35 she's in the flat in bed with her boyfriend, husband phones her drunk wants to come see her. She tells him to sleep at his club in London, not at her flat. She tells boyfriend to leave, has go give him the money for a taxi.

She eventually asks husband for a divorce, she wants to marry her boyfriend, they're scheming to become rich from the divorce. She wants a settlement that would force her husband to sell his family estate. Tony is dumbstruck and embarrassed that everyone but he knew of his wife's affair. He flees England joining an impetuous trip to the jungle in Brazil, where things don't go as planned for poor Tony. Back in England, Brenda finds out Tony changed his will before his trip, leaving her nothing. Her boyfriend abandons her.

1:41:00 Brenda meets with husband's lawyer. Asks "My husband can't possibly mean to leave me stranded like this can he?" No answer from the lawyer. Wife: "Oh I see".

Chouchou (Sweetheart) 2022 Canada/Quebec

This 8 episode TV series may have been mentioned before, but I thought I'd mention it again as it now finally is available with English subtitles on Crave TV Canada (used to only be available with French subs).

A 37 yr old wife, Chanelle, is one of the most horrible wives I have ever seen in a TV series. She is married to Jeff and has two young kids. Chanelle is a teacher and starts an affair with her 17 yr old student, Sandrick. 

Sandrick has a tough home life, Chanelle convinces her husband to have him live in their own home. She introduces him to her husband and kids, has meals with her family. Fucks him in the bed she shares with husband. She's having sex with him in their shower when her young son sees them naked together. She gets pregnant with Sandrick's baby.

Eventually one of Sandrick's friends informs on them. Chanelle:

loses her job (she'll never teach again)
is tried and convicted of having sex with a minor
goes to prison
her husband divorces her, thereby she loses her home
loses custody of her kids
is ordered by the court to never see Sandrick again

She tells the prison psychologist she thinks about Sandrick (17 yrs old) all the time. She's clearly mentally ill, to still think this in prison having lost everything.
in prison has a miscarriage and loses Sandrick's baby
her young son is bullied in school for having a slut for a mother

Her husband Jeff is caught in a shit storm trying to deal with all this and raise two small kids. I think it is episode 7 where Chanelle shows up on his doorstep trying to be friendly and convince him she can co-parent. Jeff finally tears a holy strip off her, saying their young son saw them in the shower, she is no fit parent. That he had to burn the bedclothes off their bed. Slams the door in her face.

Over De Grens / Wild Heart, Netherlands, 2025, 85 min

A family, husband, wife, two kids, move from Amsterdam to the countryside. The husband is having some sort of problem in their sex life, after they move he's swamped with work, neglects his wife.

The wife doesn't work, has nothing but time on her hands. She's horny and fantaszies all the time about making out with every man she comes into contact with.

Wife meets sexy local man, Mathieu, who she hires to do repairs to their new house. Wife has fantasies about making out with Mathieu, mumbles his name during sleep. Husband begins to get jealous.

Wife finds out from various village women that Mathieu lost his last job because of his 6 month affair with his boss's wife. The village women call him a fuckboy.

Wife and Mathieu at village fair, dance together. He takes her to a nearby cabin the woods. He kisses her, asks her if she wants to do this, she says yes 1:09:30 lays her down on bed and takes off her panties. She has flashbacks of loving memories with her hubby. Stops the seduction, leaves.

Back home she's feeling guilty, tells husband she cheated. 1:11:40. Husband is furious, she eventually gets out that she only kissed him. Husband "I should be thankful for that?" He leaves her and the kids.

Do they repair their marriage? (Hint: movie is written and directed by women).

I have only been able to find this movie streaming on prime video (amazon).

Series 2 concentrates almost exclusively on David, first few episodes showing the pain she caused him. They'd been dating 7 years, living together in a foreign city. Siri is scrambling trying to save their relationship, she isn't screwing anyone.

David meets a MILF maybe 10 yrs older than him. Episodes 6 and 7 shows us some tender sex scenes with David and his new GF. They're at a party at David's place, Siri phones she's downstairs wants to see him.

Meets her downstairs, she says trying to give him space asks are they over for good? David's noncommittal she leaves frustrated. He's being a shit here, but you could say he's repaying her - with interest.

David goes to their old place to get some stuff, a conversation about their relationship. Very emotional scene. Siri screams at him he can't make the decision to break up on his own. Panic attack, she's frantic throws at him they've been together 7 years. Don't do this! Don't do this!

David "I want to be on my own". Siri sobbing. "You're the closest thing in my life".

Tearful hugging each other. Start kissing, she's very pretty here.

Later (I don't think there was any nookie), she's sleeping on the couch worn out from crying and he's sitting. He pulls up blanket for her, puts on coat, long look at each other. David leaves.

Threesome (TV Series) (2021)

In the 2 season of the series, David learns about his girlfriend Siri's affair and confronts her. Siri regrets and tries to win him back.

The confrontations in series 2 episode 2 are some of the most entertaining I have ever seen. He confronts her at their apartment, ends up leaving her in tears saying over and over she loves him, begging him not to go. She then tracks him down at his mate's appartment, tells her he knows everything about her cheating, how she would be with the other man, then come home to him. Said she was disgusting, crushes her. Tells her to leave, she dejectedly shuffles out the door. 

She shows up all frantic at his work, doesn't see him, but she's such a mess he gets a warning from his boss they don't want to see her there again. 

Her cheating hits him really hard. Doesn't take him long to shag some young ho from a night club, has trouble getting it up thinking of his ex. Her cheating is the gift that keeps on giving. Fairly explicit. 

Orginally broadcast on Swedish Viaplay, finally was able to watch series 2 on Crave TV Canada. I haven't been able to find it on a free streaming service.

Fragile Bond (2025, USA)

Another delightful film from tubi. Wife and husband are bored with their sex life. Wife pushes for a partner swap. So they approach another couple, they agree. The film tries for lots of angsty discussion between husband and wife, should they do it or not do it. And reassurances over and over to each other they will see this thru together (when I heard this I thought they're doomed).

Discussion between the couples: no head, and no raw dogging.

The night of the swap, wife and other man go off to one bedroom. Film focuses on husband and other woman in second bedroom. He gets cold feet, says he needs a drink of water. In the kitchen he hears his wife getting railed and moaning like a porn star. Shakes him up badly.

The movie fucks up here, the lighting is so dark, and the script so inconclusive I really couldn't see what the hell was going on. I don't know if the husband screwed other woman??? We get to see husband and other woman in underwear, other than the wife's spectacular moaning, that's it for erotic value.

Next day wife can tell husband is upset, wants to talk. It's bad, husband accuses wife of having best sex of her life and sucking other man's dick (I laughed the dialog was so bad). Everybody gets angry, husband accuses wife of wanting to open their marriage rather than getting counselling.

Wife tells girlfriend later she had the time of her life fucking the other man. But the problem is her husband never heard her moan like that ever before.

Husband's is pissed, wants to separate. They agree to talk tonight. I'm not 100% sure how the movie ends. The wife comes home and the subtitle said there's sexy sounds that I couldn't really hear, we see a bottle of the girlfriend's brand of of booze and I think this means husband is screwing the wife's girlfriend, it's not shown. The wife screams the husband's name in anger and ??? Cut to a psychologist warning us the dangers of wife swapping.

House of Guinness (TV Series, 2025, UK, S1 8 episodes)

This series is great TV outside of the cheating wife storyline. Created by the producers of Peaky Blinders.

Set in Ireland in the 1860s. The patriarch of the rich brewers, the Guinness family, has died. Three adult brothers and an adult sister are left to run the brewing empire, they struggle to do so.

Series 1

Episode 3 at 7:30 The oldest brother is Arthur. He's a gay man, a playboy. He's convinced by brother Edward to run for Parliament but he needs a wife. Their aunt makes up a list of candidates. Great scene when Arthur interviews Lady Olivia for the role. They both understand it's to be Un Marriage Blanc, As Olivia says "I'm to take your name but not your cock". Arthur tells her he's going to have affairs (with men). She demands the same, he agrees, and tells his aunt to burn the list of candidates, Olivia's the one. He'll pay her family debts and give her a generous income.

Rafferty is the Guinness family fixer, a bone-breaker who strong arms anyone needing convincing, and he's a good looking young man. Olivia takes him as a lover. Arthur gives Rafferty his blessing but tells him he needs to be discrete and learn to play these games as Olivia can, she's been born and bred to do so. Rafferty, the dog, had also been fucking the Guinness sister.

Episode 6 5:35 Rafferty screwing Olivia, the next morning she makes him jump out her upstairs window to avoid the servants.

45:00 A bunch of quick cuts between Arthur making out with men at a gay club, Rafferty screwing Olivia, and Edward torn between a proper lady and a Fenian beauty.

Episode 7 26:40 Oh oh. Olivia is having trouble fitting in her dresses. Arthur has a chat with Rafferty they must use precautions. Rafferty says sometimes she insists and they don't have time for precautions. Too late, she's preggers.

Episode 8

Arthur arranges Olivia to visit her sisters in London, smokescreen to have an abortion.

21:02 Olivia back from London, Arthur and Ovivia at dinner, very awkward. Arthur "remember you are my wife". She visits Rafferty, they mourn their baby. They profess their love for one another. This isn't going to end well.

30:50 Arthur tells Ovivia she can leave with Rafferty, but they'll be broke and Arthur will shame Olivia in society that she fucked the help. If she stays Arthur's wife, no more fucking Rafferty to prevent any baby accidents. She accepts.

35:46 Olivia tells Rafferty she's going to keep fucking him.

I have looked high and low, can't find this streamed for free anywhere yet, only on Netflix. Maybe some other posters can find a free streaming source.
