Betray (2023, USA)
A lower budget Tubi movie, the lead actress Shi Smith makes this worth watching. She's pretty and does a good job portraying a smug, bored wife Candace.
Her husband Joel is scrambling for work, sometimes he's out of town. Candace is bored with Joel and their home life together. Candace works as a hairdresser with her pal Stephanie. Stephanie's boyfriend is Deon who is a player.
Deon starts seducing Candace. makes his play on her birthday when Joel gets hung up out of town. Candace and Deon fuck a couple of nights at an Airbnb he owns.
Stephanie and Joel both get tipped that Candace and Deon are having an affair. A couple of nights later everyone shows up at the Airbnb with Candace and Deon in bed. A knife and a gun are drawn, there are two shots.
SPOILERS
Epilogue: Joel has kicked Candace out and looks happy living with a new woman. Candace has a baby, likely Deon's it's not Joel's. She comes by to pick up her mail, Joel gives her the mail, pretty much just closes the door in her face.
Candace is left looking at the closed door with no home, no marriage, no husband, a single mother.

Betray (2023, USA)
A TubiTV movie with an all-black cast, and as you might expect a smaller budget movie. What elevates this film is the lead actress Shi Smith, who is pretty and does a nice job of portraying a smug, bored housewife (Candace).
Candace is married to Joel who is scrambling for a job, he’s often away from home trying to make a career. Their nights at home watching TV together bore her to tears.
Candace works as a hairdresser. Her work partner is Stephanie whose boyfriend is a player named Deon.
Deon starts hitting on Candace. Joel is out of town for work and misses Candace’s birthday. Deon doesn’t though, slow dancing with Candace 57:15. Then it’s off to an Airbnb he owns, starts seducing Candace 1:00:00. Candace fucks him 1:02. Next morning in bed with Deon she guiltily screams at him to take her home. He wins her back the next day by sending her roses.
Next night Deon gets a text (must be from Candace) and ditches Stephanie. Opens door of the Airbnb, “Candace?” walks down the hallway to bedroom, she’s standing in a robe and panties, walks in and closes door 1:09:20.
Joel talking to his friend, knows things aren't right.
Candace makes up trip to visit her mother (trip is to fuck Deon). Next day, there’s a nice scene with Candace and her mother. Her mother knows somethings up and hopes Candace does a better job hiding this affair from Joel than from she did from her, tells her to be careful. Candace “It’s nothing serious, I’m doing this because I’m bored”.
That night Candace in a club with Deon. Joel is sent photos of Candace and Joel from the club. Joel is pissed, grabs gun. Drives to club, tails them to the Airbnb. Deon and Candace are busy in bed 1:33:00 Hear noise and spring from bed. Its Stephanie, she’s a big girl and she’s pissed and holding a big knife. Candace has a gun, Joel shows up, there’s two shots...

In the aftermath of the Airbnb showdown. Candace is at Joel’s feet sobbing “Baby, I didn’t mean it, please I didn't mean it”. Candace has sure lost the smug, bored with Joel attitude now.

Infidelity (2004. USA)
Danielle (Kim Delaney) is a 30 something wife married to Jim. She’s a couples counsellor, God help us.
I would guess she’s a sex addict. Movie tells us she gets it from her philandering father. She’s currently infatuated with a Latin trumpet player, she does everything but fuck him, heavy make out sessions, one of which looks like she goes down on him. Because it’s a Lifetime movie she’s the biggest cock tease you may ever see in a movie, driving her boyfriend mad wanting to fuck her.
According to bits of conversion she has with her husband she has physically cheated on him in the past. He’s giving her another chance, she’s telling herself if she only has make out sessions down to her underwear with her boyfriend, she’s not cheating.
Wife gets distracted and leaves phone unguarded. Oh oh. Husband listens to phone messages from trumpet, “Hello baby, I need to see you”. Wife realizes she’s left her phone unguarded rushes upstairs and grabs phone.
Confrontation: Wife nonchalantly comments on her sister’s marriage. Jim: “That’s ridiculous because of what a joke our own marriage is. What is the matter with you? Is it impossible for you to tell the truth? Her “What are you talking about?” Jim “Would you stop humiliating me Danielle. You’re not as bad as your father you’re worse.” Walks away. Her “Jim I’m not seeing anyone”. Jim, leans in to her “Baby!” and storms out.
They separate. He pops by the apartment to get stuff. She tells him she’s pregnant! Oh happy day, he’s wondering whose kid it is. She’s adamant it’s his, he’s not buying it. Then she tries “I never slept with him. I made a horrible mistake” LOL what a wife. Jim “there is no you and me” leaves.
Now she’s pregnant, a cheater, has no husband, and realizes she’s a sex addict like her father.

Second the recommendation of Addicted (2014) listed earlier in this thread as a good example of this genre. The confrontation between husband and cheating wife is great.
The Shipping News (2001, Canada)
Sad Sack Quoyle is sleep walking thru life at menial jobs, no family, when as luck would have it he witnesses a domestic dispute on the street. High-strung hellcat Petal flees her partner and jumps in Quoyle’s car yelling “Drive”.
Quoyle takes her for something to eat, at the diner she looks at his watch then tells him “It’s 8:05, I’m going to fuck you by 10:00”. Cut to Petal bouncing up and down on Quoyle 6:10.
Time lapses, she’s pregnant and pissed. Next Quoyle is washing the baby and on the phone to Petal who’s in a bar with some guy in Alabama and phoning Quoyle how to make an Alabama Slamma.
Jump ahead 6 years, Quoyle is at home with his daughter, Petal comes stumbling in laughing with some guy and into her bedroom. 8:40
Next Petal’s in the bar with some rando, asks him “You want to marry me don’t ya?” Then she’s packing, grabs her daughter and she’s off. The police phone Quoyle they found her and her boyfriend drowned in the river after driving off a bridge. She had sold their daughter to a black market adoption agency.
Quoyle’s aunt shows up, she’s off to Newfoundland, the land of the Quoyles. Quoyle and his daughter move to Newfoundland with her, the rest of the movie is Quoyle’s luck changing, making a life for himself and daughter in Newfoundland.

The Shipping News comes close to meeting your reqeust. The poor main character's hellcat of a cheating wife drives off a bridge and kills herself. He goes on to live a good life and meets a good woman. (The movie is pretty good, the book is even better).
7:20 Once a Week (2018, Dominican Republic)
A married woman and a married man meet once a week in a hotel room for their affair.
She seems really into it the first couple of meetings, that begins to diminish as time goes on. She was no-show for their last Thursday meeting and now their 2nd last meeting she’s giving him a pretty chilly reception. She gets the man riled up though and he practically rapes her. When it’s over she has a look of what the fuck am I doing here?
Three weeks pass. Their last meeting, they turn on the radio, dance and talk. She tells him she’s sterile (maybe the guilt is why she cheats). And then tells a story of how she went to the airport to pick up her husband and saw he was helping a mother, tenderly holding her little boy 3 or 4 years old, and she realized how much he wants kids of his own, and how much he must love her to stay with her even though she’s barren. She’s crying at this point, and she says she realizes her place is with him and she wants to be with him, it’s true love.
Then a long take of the two of them sitting there guilty like the shits they are. He leaves, affair’s over.

Millers in Marriage (2024, Burns, USA)
Story about a brother and his two sisters set modern day in New England.
Sister Eve was a songwriter performer in the 90s, quit performing after getting pregnant and married. Her marriage is bad, her husband is a drunk. A boyfriend of hers from back in the day is writing a book on 90s performers and wants to interview her. This eventually turns into an invitation to his cabin ‘to talk about her career’. Clearly he wants to isolate her from her husband so he can try to fuck her.
Eve drives to the cabin with him, sex could happen. Her ex-boyfriend adeptly puts the moves on her a couple of times, but Eve decides she’s not a cheater and flees to her sister Maggie’s house.
Maggie is a successful writer, her husband is a writer, too but his career has dimmed. Maggie treats him pretty badly, feeling her oats that she’s in the power position in their marriage.
Maggie catches the eye of local handyman Dennis who has bedded many local wives. One afternoon she tells her husband she’s going for a walk asks him to join her. He says no. That’s all she needs to hear. Cut to her post coitus in Dennis’s house 1:29:50
Dennis remarks "this isn’t the first time you’ve done this is it, you seem very relaxed about the whole thing".
Maggie tries spinning the lie that maybe she has an open relationship with her husband. Dennis asks “Do you?” No answer from Maggie, that’s one too many lies for her to spin.

In the end Andy loses his girlfriend because of his meddling ex-wife, Eve leaves her alcoholic husband, and Maggie’s husband wises up and leaves her cheating ass. Millers are 0 for 3 in marriage.

A black comedy where chef Jamie finds out some disturbing secrets about his beautiful wife, Amandine.
Episode 1
10:16 Jamie borrows his wife's phone and reads a sexting thread his wife has with man called Paul, quite explicit, no doubt she's cheating. (Just after Jamie meets his neighbour, a fun cameo from Tom Jones).
Spies on his wife, sees her with a guy, spies on this guy for 2 weeks and confronts him, thinking it's Paul. It's not, it's a dude named Dave. His wife is fucking Dave, too.
Episode 2
Jamie schemes with brother in law Jeff how to uncover Paul. Gives him Amandine's phone tells him to search. Jeff finds a video shows it to Paul 20:00
Amandine in her underwear with an unknown man wearing a motorcycle helmet. We hear Amandine’s passionate lovemaking, and whispering to the man "Merci". We don't get to watch the video with Jamie. Jeff says this is not Paul, it's yet another man, Jason,
Jamie and wife attend a concert with her violin teacher Dan, afterwards Amandine tells Jamie to go home and look after their kid, she's going for a drink with Dan. Jesus Amandine is treating Jamie badly, why does he put up with it?
Episode 3
15:00 Brother in law Jeff and his wife Lue fuck on the roof of Jamie's restaurant.
Opening night for Jamie’s fancy restaurant he's named Amandine. Family and friends gather at end of night. Tells the crowd “The difference between Amandine the restaurant and Amandine my wife is that Amandine the restaurant isn’t fucking three other men behind my back”. Stunned silence, Jamie leaves on his bike. Amandine has to sit there in shame. Quite a scene. Good for Jamie. I wished they would have shown more of the fallout onto Amandine by Jamie's family after Jamie revealed all.
Episode 4
Episode is about how Jamie and Amandine met 7 years earlier. Begins with Amandine kissing in bed with yet her fiance, son of a billionaire. Next scene with Amandine and boyfriend on the billionaire’s yacht.
Jamie working below decks as an assistant chef, meets Amandine and they fall in love. She ditches the billionaire’s son who is cheating on her.
She’s pregnant but Jamie marries her although he’s not the father.
Episode 5
Amandine's therapist confronts Amandine “You betrayed Jamie by cheating with 3 other men”. Amandine nonchalantly replies “Yes”. Therapist “The fact of the matter is you got caught cheating with 3 other men” Amandine “What makes you think I got caught”.
Meaning – she let Jamie see evidence of her cheating on him.
Jeff is a university lecturer. Give’s a guest lecture at a university, afterwards cheats on wife Lue.
Amandine and Jamie are separated, she texts Jamie “All you need is love’. This is a lyric from a Beatles song… sung by Paul (McCartney). So she’s giving him a clue as to who Paul is (the 3rd guy who fucked her).
Jamie gets the clue refers to a costume party where some of them dressed as the Beatles. Looks at a video from the party… Paul is his brother in law Jeff, his best friend. Very cruel Amandine.
Episode 6
Jamie sends Amandine a note he knows who Paul is and wants to meet with her tonight. Showdown coming right? Not the way Jamie anticipated.
Lue, who is a bit nuts, has a fantasy she’s a fashion designer in 1920s Paris. She has a tryst with a handsome man in her fantasy. She tells her fantasy man she knows everything about Jeff her husband’s cheating.
The Showdown, it’s a good one – Amandine and Jamie meet in a hotel room. Jamie lets her have it, recounting all her cheating and how her cheating with Jeff was particularly hurtful. Jamie takes his wedding ring off.
Amandine asks “So it’s over, you don’t even want to know why?” (Oh we do).
SPOILERS
Gets Jamie to yell that cheating with even one of the three men is devastating.
Then gives him the gory details about fucking each of the men. And when she was fucking Jeff his best friend she was feeling very guilty, but then she came really hard, lasting about a minute. “I know I’ve done awful things, cheating is bad. But we have contraception, and monogamy is really hard, right?” She’s taunting Jamie.
Jamie “You’re only saying this because you got caught”. Amandine “Oh you didn’t catch me”.
Amandine then plays a video on the TV. She gets up and leaves the hotel room. The clip shows her burning a love manifesto they wrote to each other, then she shifts the camera to a balcony in a hotel across the street where Jamie in a bathrobe is kissing a woman in a bathrobe.
They share a last look on the street, she winks at Jamie then jumps in a cab and leaves.
Whales appear in several episodes, apparently representing the health of their relationship. At episode's end a huge whale drops from the sky dead on the street near Jamie and Amandine, representing the death of their marriage.
Jamie phones best friend Jeff and tells him we need to talk.
This was quirky and kept me guessing what was going on. Too bad there wasn’t a second season.

Stuck in Love (2012) alternate title: Writers
Bill (Greg Kinnear) and Erica (Jennifer Connelly) were married, but three years ago Erica left him and is now living with a younger man.
Bill can't help spying on her, and sees her making out with and then about to get railed by her new husband when the dog chases Bill away from the window.
Bill still loves Erica and we find out he's been patiently waiting for her return for three years, still setting a place at their dinner table for her every Thanksgiving.
Bill while waiting for Erica is not a complete monk, he does screw his married neighbour (Kristen Bell) now and again.
The daughter hates her mother for abandoning her father and their family. Three years after the abandonment, Bill tries to convince his daughter her mother still loves her and she had reasons to leave. When the daughter was still a baby, old Bill fell in love with another woman and left for 6 months. Erica stuck with Bill. But now all these years later, Erica is repaying him with interest, living with another man for 3 years. Daughter tells Bill, after 3 years it's time to move on from Erica.
Ending: Another year has passed and it's Thanksgiving dinner for Bill and his kids at his house. Bill first sets the traditional place for absent Erica, but sheepishly, for the first time in 4 years removes it from the table.
There's a knock at the door. It's Erica. Bill asks her what she's doing here. Starts crying and tells Bill she got a little lost and was wondering if there was still a place for her here, but she'll understand completely if Bill says No because she really doesn't deserve it.
