1999Homer becomes a physician under his mentor Dr. Larch. When Wally and his pregnant girlfriend Candy visit Dr. Larch to have an abortion, Homer leaves with them to work on Wally’s family apple farm. Wally goes off to war, leaving Homer and Candy alone together, and an affair begins between the two.
