My Wife's Secret Life (2019, USA, 1 hr 15 min)
Lifetime movie. Wife Laurel and husband James are in a tough spot in their marriage. Turns out he cheated on her with a one nighter.
Laurel goes on a short business trip and meets Kent who staying in the same motel. He romances her. They're on a walk, he kisses her, she kisses back 16:25.
Laurel tells him she has to go, goes back to her room. Is bored, has a second thought and knocks on Kent's door, fucks him. 20:45. (it's Lifetime, nothing too explicit).
Wakes up in Kent's bed the next morning. Pillow talk, tells Kent "things have been really stressful at home", then it's fuck session #2.
Wakes up later in Kent's bed, blows him off she has to get ready for work. Back in her room in the shower she starts crying (boo hoo ya cheater).
Goes home is kinda cold to her husband, he notices a hickey on her neck, she give him some hair curler excuse. 28:45 flashback looks in the mirror at her hickey and has a flashback of her night with Kent.

Another flashback, while having a massage she thinks of old Kent having his hands all over her 42:00. She freaks and confesses to husband. "He started flirting with me, I was having a lousy day, I had a couple of drinks..." (What a shit wife).
From then on it's the tired old Lifetime plot of the wife's boyfriend is a psycho and stalks the wife, hurts the husband, leaving the wife all alone to be terrorized by him.

The movie tells the story of Natalia, a tormented woman who is prescribed by her psychiatrist to enjoy some holidays on a yacht to improve her mental health. She goes on boat with the doctor himself and his wife, who happens to be Natalia’s husband’s lover. Before going on the trip our protagonist is left alone in the hotel, while the rest go for dinner, and there she is attacked by a man who she killed, but when everybody is back to their room there is no trace of the crime. Everything appears to be on her head, nothing is real.
On the yacht, weird things start to happen. Nobody is as innocent as they pretend to be. Also, we are told the boat suffers from a curse in which any person sailing on it is killed.
In the absence of subtitles, here is a transcript of the dialogue—and also a lazy way to summarize the movie for you:
The two couples are at the table having dinner. Once the dinner is over, Blanca, the psychologist/doctor’s wife, gets up to clear the table.
"-Carlos: What time do you want us to get up tomorrow?
-Jorge: Around 10 is a good time. Don't you think?
*phone ring*
-Carlos: This house has only one flaw. The telephone. Any day now, I’m going to have it disconnected."
Carlos gets up from the table, leaving his wife and the doctor alone. (I see this often in movies; I hope that in real life people don't leave their wives alone with other men, even for a short time.)
"-Jorge: Are you happy about the trip tomorrow?
-Natalia: Yes, I think so.
-Jorge: It will do you a world of good, I’m sure. That’s the psychiatrist speaking, not the friend. A week at sea... it will restore your serenity. There’s nothing as relaxing as being alone out on the water. No hostile elements, no one who can hurt you.
-Natalia: Carlos will be there.
-Jorge: Carlos is your husband. The person who loves you most.
-Natalia: Yes, but... ...I’d prefer he didn’t come. I’m afraid. At night...
-Jorge: That would mean delaying the solution to your problem. Sexual relations are a very natural part of a person's life. Not just physiologically. They can also be very psychologically rewarding. They can give you a new sense of self-confidence, knowing there’s someone you can make happy. Someone who needs you. And who also wants you to be happy.
-Natalia: I already feel insecure enough without adding an... ...infidelity... to my life.
-Jorge: That idea unsettles you.
-Natalia: I prefer to think that what you’re saying is part of your treatment. Like a sort of... ...shock therapy. Is that the right term?
After answering the phone, Carlos goes to see Blanca in the kitchen. and Natalia’s suspicions about her husband’s infidelity turn out to be true. Her husband’s mistress happens to be Blanca, her friend and the doctor’s wife.
"-Blanca: Who was calling? The Cladamóns.
-Carlos: They’re inviting us to a party.
-Blanca: You’ve lost your mind. Either one of theme could walk in."
-Carlos: Does Jorge suspect anything?
-Blanca: No, I don’t think so. He’s too busy with your wife’s situation. Are you sure the boat plan will work out?
-Carlos: Why not? Your husband knows exactly what he’s doing.
-Blanca: It’s somewhat ironic, isn't it, that our happiness depends on him.
-Carlos: Everything will turn out fine. You’ll see.
-Blanca: For her? Or for me?"
This dialogue takes place on the yacht while the two couples are in their cabins.
Natalia seems to have a hard time letting Carlos, her husband, make love to her. We will learn later that she was raped when she was little, which explains her current mental state.
In the next cabin, Jorge and Blanca are lying on a bunk bed. Jorge is reading a book.
"-Blanca: I don't like this boat.
-Jorge: Right, you're always so open-minded.
-Blanca: You like Natalia, don't you?
-Jorge: I feel the same way about her as you do about Carlos.
-Blanca: It makes sense. He's the exact opposite of you.
-Jorge: And the forbidden fruit. That's why you're drawn to him.
-Blanca: Sometimes I wonder if things wouldn't have gone better for us if we hadn't intellectualized everything so much.
-Jorge: You won't let me read.
-Blanca: We're a very strange couple. I don't know if we're happy, if we hate each other, if we just tolerate each other, or if we're nothing more than friends.
-Blanca: Where are you going?
-Jorge: To the bridge. Even though the sea is vast, you have to keep an eye on where we're heading every now and then. We wouldn't want to crash into an iceberg.
-Blanca: In the Mediterranean?
-Jorge: You'd better get some sleep. That brain of yours is working at a pace that's too fast for it. It needs to rest."
In this scene, the two couples are enjoying the yacht. The women are in bikinis getting tans, while the husbands are fishing.
-Blanca: Don't you want some oil? The air burns much worse than the sun.
-Natalia: Yes, yes, put some on my back.
-Blanca: What are you doing there? Are you spying on us?
-Carlos: We feel like having a bit of coffee Would the ladies be so kind as to serve their husbands?

Natalia quickly returns from the kitchen and sees them!

Carlos and Blanca join the conversation.
-Carlos: It’s a cursed boat—it has a terrible legend attached to it. What’s wrong? Haven't you told her yet?
-Jorge: You never know when to keep quiet; you always talk too much.
Natalia gets up, goes inside, blanca joins her, leaving their husband alone.
-Jorge: You did it again last night. (he is talking about their lovemaking session)
-Carlos: What’s the matter? Spying on what I do with my wife at night?
-Jorge: We agreed that you would follow my instructions to the letter. Right now, she shouldn't be subjected to any external interference. I have a very precise plan for her. And anything else could ruin it.
-Carlos: Alright, alright. You spend your whole life scolding me like I’m a child.
-Jorge: Why don't you sleep in the bow cabin? I know you well. I know how you operate; you can't feel a woman's warmth near you without making a move.
-Carlos: Makes sense, makes sense.
-Jorge: Carlos: That’s why you need to sleep away from her.

At night while the four of them are playing poker, Jorge offers to go to the kitchen to refill the glasses. and at the same time pour Liquid sleep aid into all the glasses and to fulfill his fantasy of raping Natalia while she is sleeping!
Jorge waits for the medicine to take effect and since he knows that Carlos is going to sleep elsewhere, he will finally be able to spend a night with Natalia.
Jorge enters Natalia's cabin. She is completely asleep. He begins to undress her (he lifts her nightgown to see her transparent panties and pulls down the straps of her nightgown; there is no nudity in this film).
He starts touching her breasts, then he takes off his clothes and gets on top of her, he kisses her on the mouth and the scene ends (pathetic).
The next day, Natalia wakes up and finds him dead near her bed!
In the second part of the movie, the three will do everything to drive Natalia crazy, first by faking their deaths, and then by coming back to life like zombies, making her believe that she has lost her mind and forcing her to lock herself in her cabin.
Carlos, Jorge, and Blanca meet one last time to discuss Natalia's fate and boast about the success of their plan.
"-Jorge: Well, it’s all over now. It took much longer than I expected for her to lose her mind. But everything went more or less according to plan.
-Carlos: I hope we haven't left any loose ends. We wouldn't want anything to ruin the plan.
-Jorge: There’s nothing to worry about. There’s no setting more perfect than a boat. Not a single witness for miles around.
-Blanca: And speaking of witnesses... What about that sailor you hired to scare her at the villa?
-Jorge: He’s probably in Australia by now. The important thing is that tomorrow, the three of us will be back on land.
-Carlos: And the day after tomorrow, Natalia will be committed to an asylum.
-Blanca: And in a few weeks, we’ll split Natalia’s entire fortune.
-Carlos: There’s just one thing left to do. Fire a few shots into the walls of the boat.
-Jorge: Right. To account for the marks left by the blank cartridges.

She’s had a gutfull of Czech men after some bitter previous relationships, so is trying to find herself a foreign bloke.
Laura’s definition of Mr Right is pretty broad, as she seems to fall head over heels – and straight into the sack – with any man that looks at her. First up is her creepy English teacher, who she snags after making eyes at him for a few lessons. “Don’t worry, I will use a condom.” he reassures her in Czech as they head out for their first date, harking back to an earlier scene where Laura is gossiping about him with her friend, without realizing that he can understand her. When it comes to chat up lines it’s hardly “Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day”, but she seems pretty cool with it.
Next up is the materialistic and utterly vapid Rickie (Jaromír Nosek), an airheaded mobile phone salesman. Laura regards Rickie with barely concealed contempt, but hey, he takes her on a swanky skiing holiday to the Tatras, so that’s OK. Besides, he’s usually too busy looking at his phone to realize that she’s glaring at him like he’s something that just fell out of her nose.
While they’re getting a bite to eat one day, Laura notices Oliver (Marek Vašut), a 40-year-old douchebag and self-proclaimed alcoholic who works in advertising, where he cooks up corny slogans for a variety of products. He catches her eye with his over-sized joie de vivre – a quality that can often be mistaken for douchiness, and vice versa – and as is her wont, Laura instantly starts flirting back across Rickie’s shoulder.
It doesn’t take Laura very long to start sleeping with Oliver behind Rickie’s back once they’re back to the city, but then there’s a twist. Spoiler alert for From Subway with Love – Oliver just happens to be one of her mum’s ex-boyfriends.
Jana’s understandably freaked out at first by coming home to find a old lover standing stark bollock naked in her hallway, and even more so to discover that he’s banging her daughter.
She soon gets over it, though, setting up a weird dynamic for the rest of the movie – Oliver playing happy families with mother and daughter, both of whom he’s slept with!
