Julia starts fantasizing having an affair with an author whose book she is reading.

Her friends encourage her to cheat. One of Julia’s friends takes her to a restaurant and tries to get her involve in some flirtations with two lewd, old men. Julia runs away.

When Julia sees different men, she can’t help but fantasize that she’s doing it with them. Some of the men are the pool boy, a patient in a blood clinic, etc.

Finally Julia decides that she’s going to cheat. She asks Maggie how men will know that she’s available. Maggie says oh they will know, men have instinct for that. And when Maggie goes out of the room and her husband starts hitting on Julia, Julia can’t help but agree with Maggie.

Another husband of one of Julia’s friends also tries to nail Julia one early morning. He waits for Julia’s husband (who is also his friend) to leave for work then he knocks on Julia’s door. Julia rebuffs him, though.

Finally Julia meets someone she thinks she can have an affair with. She goes on a date with him on a restaurant and then they go to a hotel, all in a very sneaky mode. But inside the hotel room Julia bails out.

The author that Julia fantasizes about is in town and he takes notice of her. She goes with him in his yacht. Supposedly she has sex with him inside the cabin of his yacht, but we don’t get to see it. We only get to see her give him a kiss on the lips after.

At the end she is about to tell her husband about her infidelity, but her husband beats her out of it and admits he’s cheating. She gets angry and pushes him to the pool. Then she does not tell him that she cheated too. I guess it’s enough for her to know that her husband cheated to suppress her guilt.

No sex and nudity, except for Cybill Shepherd’s tits poking a bit in her clothes.
