A mother and wife finds herself haunted by a brief affair she had while processing her divorce from her husband. With her scorned lover refusing to give up and her husband calling off the divorce, she must fight to keep her family and her secret safe.
At a moment when Stephanie is processing her divorce from her husband Kevin, she introduces herself to young Brady as "Vanessa." The couple then proceed to spend a night at the Lorenzo Hotel with fateful consequences. Kevin decides he wants to make the marriage work and calls off the divorce, and Stephanie breaks off the relationship with Brady.
