Set in Kyiv in the late 1990s, "Forever-Forever" is an unsettling portrait of the young and rebellious as they navigate love, explore their sexuality, and play cruel games, which never have a winner.
After transferring from a downtown high school, Tonia (Alina Cheban) befriends a group of troubled youngsters, trying to find protection from the people from her past and a place she truly belongs. They spend time together, roaming around Kyiv's post-socialist suburbs, having fun and getting in trouble. Soon, Tonia falls in love with Zhurik (played by Zachary Shadrin who was the first Ukrainian actor ever submitted for Emmy consideration, for his role in Apple TV series Little America). When she also falls for Sania (Arthur Aliiev), she finds herself tangled up in an alluring secret love triangle. But Tonia's painful past still haunts her, challenging this newfound friendship and romance. Will she be able to find her own pass or lose herself in this new controversial relationship? Set in Kyiv in the late 1990s, this is a story of the young and rebellious amid the ruins of the Soviet regime. Those who had to grow up faster due to the circumstances but got lost in the adult world. A story of which we need constant reminding, as some things only exist at the moment, while others last forever.
Cheating Notes
After transferring from a downtown high school, Tonia befriends a group of troubled youngsters and eventually starts a relationship with one of them, Zhurik. They kiss a few times (30:35, 55:39) and have sex at his home (57:46).
When Zhurik goes to the store, Sania, the leader of the troubled youngsters, drops by at his place so Tonia lets him in. They begin arguing when he distastefully jokes that she screwed Zurich so hard he had to flee. She calls him out, asking if he wanted to be in Zhurik's place instead, because she noticed that he's been staring at her since they first met, been following her and rattling Zhurik.
Sania suddenly lunges forward and kisses Tonia (1:02:40), and though she resists at first, when he pulls away, she grabs him and kisses him back. She sits on the edge of a small desk as he takes off her panties, but not her oversized shirt, and begins to make love to her. They get interrupted when Zhurik suddenly comes back from the store. They don't get caught in the act. She cries while the two boys talk in the front yard.
Sania picks Tonia up from the school pool. They walk home together and kiss on the way (1:07:54).
Tonia and Zhurik have sex (1:12:05).
During a party, Tonia joins Sania outside the venue to smoke and they end up making out (1:15:08). Meanwhile, Zhurik looks for Tonia inside the venue. Another chick informs him that Sania is having his way with Tonia. Tonia and Sania go to the store to buy some rum cola, and on their way back, they run into Zhurik, who’s waiting for them. When tensions rise, she stops the two guys from fighting and tells Zhurik that she loves him—but that she loves Sania too. Slut alerrtt!
