Marie Krøyer leads a happy marriage life with her husband, the great Danish painter P.S. Krøyer and an adorable daughter. However, not everything in her world is as perfect as it seems. After hospitalizing her mentally ill husband, Marie leaves for vacation, and in search for peace and comfort she finds herself falling in love with the young composer Hugo Alfven.
The film revolves around Karin Stolpe’s complex relationship with her husband Sven Stolpe and her passionate love affair with Olof Lagercrantz which starts in the 1930s.
A real estate agent takes his boss’ wife to a luxurious archipelago house that he is supposed to sell for a passionate weekend. While there, they are terrorized by a Polish craftsman who has stayed behind to finish work on the house.
A journalist and a painter’s daughter fall in love with each other. His ambition stands in the way of marriage and the love slips away. A decade has passed since they first set eyes on each other. Now both are married. Yet not with each other. They meet again and end up having an affair.
