Detailed summary
Monsieur de Garelle (Éric Arnold) has separated from his wife Mathilde (Anne Fontaine),
who has been shamelessly cheating on him with Monsieur de Chantever. While with his mistress, Mariette, he sees his ex-wife again and seems once again captivated by her charms. To get revenge, he sets out to win her back...
Cheating Notes:
Mr. de Garelle spanks his wife as punishment for cheating. However, he is unaware that a new law prohibits this. His wife tells him that this will allow her to file for divorce.
Mathilde does this and marries her lover. Mr. de Garelle will not give up and will ask his former companion to help him get revenge by becoming his mistress in turn (you follow...)
She accepts and becomes his mistress. Mr. de Garelle enlists the help of one of his mistresses and gets Mr. de Chanterer out of his house for the night, then goes to his ex-wife's house, where she is waiting for him. He knocks on the door, and she lets him in. There is then an exchange:
- Mathilde: It's curious, I had no trouble persuading him to leave me alone.
- M. de Garelle: Have you told him about your migraine?
- Mathilde: How do you know?
- M. de Garelle: Oh, nothing. (He knows because it's likely she did it to him when he was married.)
- Mathilde: Nevertheless, do you love me?
- M. de Garelle: When a man is crazy enough to propose to a woman who has already married him to become his lover, that is the greatest proof of love.
When you love a woman, you shouldn't marry her. Because if you do, you're sure she'll cheat on you. While a mistress remains faithful to her lover with the same determination she uses to cheat on her husband.

Around 1880. Monsieur and Madame Beauflanquet go to a hotel recommended to them by a friend. The establishment has something singularly curious about it: it looks like a Turkish house! In Paris, everything seems wildly exotic to these Norman bourgeois. This young couple who imagine they are spending their wedding night in a hotel are in fact in a brothel of the worst kind. The owner of the house pretends that the women parading in the salon are the wives of the Turkish ambassadors. Monsieur and Madame Beauflanquet then unwittingly take part in a night of debauchery.
Cheating Notes:
Mrs. Beauflanquet is getting ready in front of the mirror, topless. Her husband enters the room and she runs to cover her breasts! Her husband is astonished by such modesty! She comes out of the bathroom and asks if he is satisfied with her dress. He tells her that women in Paris show off their cleavage. She tells him that it's not her style.
The couple arrives at the establishment and is welcomed by Mr. Beauflanquet's cousin, (Miche) the owner. As soon as he meets Mrs. Beauflanquet, he is immediately smitten. He tells her how beautiful he finds her. However, the employee (Crête de coq) is skeptical.
(He finds her attractive because she is his cousin's wife.) The cousin begins to kiss her hand and act a little clingy. Mrs. Beauflanquet tries to push him away, but her husband insists that she kiss him because he is his/her cousin.
The master of the house does not hold back and gives her a kiss on the back of the neck, instead of on the cheek, in accordance with tradition.
Mrs. Beauflanquet is both slightly embarrassed and rather surprised. Once the introductions are over, the couple goes to their room. As mentioned in the summary, the establishment is a brothel.
The couple is amazed to find that their bedroom is full of canvases and photo frames, all showing Kama Sutra positions! (Surprisingly, the man depicted in these paintings resembles Mr. Beauflanquet.)
Mrs. Beauflanquet changes into her nightclothes and goes to bed, contemplating the paintings. The husband goes downstairs to find his cousin. He is surprised to see that some of the women are scantily clad. He asks his cousin if he can stay with them.
The cousin wonders what his wife would think if she saw him. He assures him that this could not since she is sleeping. Miche is delighted to hear this and asks him to go join them. Miche asks one of these women not to allow Mr. Beauflanquet to go upstairs
He then goes to Mrs. Beauflanquet’s room. Once in the room, Mrs. Beauflanquet is indeed asleep. He starts by pulling up the sheets and kissing her on the butt. Then, he places himself behind her and he begins to fuck her!
In the middle of the sex, Mrs. Beauflanquet wakes up and thinks it’s her husband. She lets him continue. Nevertheless, they are interrupted by the toque coming from the door. (Crête de coq), the employee, warns his boss that her husband is going to go back up into the room. Finally, Mrs. Beauflanquet wakes up and realizes that it is not her husband. She tells him that he has degraded her. She hides her face, and the owner tells her that he is eager to fuck her again.
Mme Beauflanquet descend, but instead of informing her husband of what had just happened, She seeks Miche’s help to satisfy her husband by dressing her as one of the whores in his establishment.
Miche is happy and seeks the assistance of the girls. The husband enters a dimly lit room. He begins to look for girls. He comes across one of them. He starts making love to her, the lights turn on, he is surprised that it’s his wife.
Once back home, the couple starts unpacking their suitcase. They place frames and canvas containing Kamasutra photos on their wall.
