Cheating Notes
Emily has sex with the artist David, her lover, in his art studio (1:33). She then comes home to her husband Steven, and rejects his attempt at intimacy (04:04). And then the couple goes to a party, which David also attends.
At the party, David sees Emily and attempts to approach her, but she silently shakes her head, telling him not to approach her in the open because her husband is with her. They meet in an empty room (6:27). They talk, he runs his hand gently on her arm, then they flirt, talking about meeting for lunch, and suddenly her husband comes from behind them and jokingly tells her, "I leave you alone for 30 seconds, and you elope with a younger man."
Steven talks to David, sort of almost interrogating him. He tells him he wants to see his work some time, and then asks if Emily has his number. Emily, who is at the back of her husband, silently shakes her head towards David, and so her lover tells her husband that she doesn't. I like the uncomfortable expressions on Emily's face as her husband talks to her lover. At the end of their conversation, David grabs his wife by the arm and almost drags her away from David.
Emily goes to David's place and has sex with him (10:06). In a parallel scene, her husband is shown pacing anxiously in his office. After sex, while they are making out on the bed, Emily gets surprised when she hears her husband's voice on David's answering machine, telling David that he will come by at 6PM to check out his work. Is he on to them?

Steven comes to David's place and reveals to him that he knows that he is screwing his wife (16:25). And then Steven reveals further that he knows David is a con man, and that Emily is his current mark. Steven offers David $500,000, not to leave Emily but to k..l her.
We see Steven in possession of a photo of Emily and David making out, indicating he had them tailed (22:14).
Sometime after the failed mu..er attempt on Emily, David asks Steven, "Do i keep screwing your wife in the meantime, or what (1:05:18)?"
During the couple's confrontation, more photos of Emily and Steven's trysts, where they are making out, are shown (1:23:04).
