A magnate and his younger wife hire David to teach guitar to their teenage daughter. The wife quickly seduces David, and simultaneously he strikes up an acquaintance with the family's inquisitive neighbor. One night, David is mugged but rescued from injury by a stranger, Daniel, who also becomes David's friend and admits to being a hit man. Video tapes of their activities appear in the lovers' mail; David thinks they're from the neighbor, Daniel is sure the husband is onto the affair and hired the mugger. After Daniel tells David that he's been hired to kill the husband, an elaborate manipulation plays out, with murder, suicide, a payoff, more videos, and a surprise pairing.

David goes to the Thombsthays' place when they hire him to teach their daughter guitar lessons. When he returns home, Julia, the wife, calls him to tell him that he left a tuning fork at their house and she comes to his place to deliver it to him personally. She seduces him, they make out and he gets to as far as fondling her boobs and then she tells him that she has to go.
On Julia's next visit, they fuck on his chair, with her on top.

Julia and her old husband invite David to dinner. While they are talking and having drinks in the living room after dinner, Julia spreads her legs for David while her husband is talking beside her. When David arrives at the couple's house that night, her husband is there to welcome him as his trip is apparently canceled. When they get inside the house, the husband pulls a knife on David and tells him that he knew about his affair with his wife. "Do you think that I'd let you fuck my wife with impunity?" He asks him. And they have a violent struggle.
