The plot centers on the return of Paco Aldebarán (Fernando Luján) to his hometown as a literature professor at the university. He joins a small group of university professors with few ambitions, whose daily lives, aside from teaching, consist of spreading gossip, drinking, strolling through their small town that evokes a past and better times, confronting authorities lacking deserved prestige, and being aware that they are part of a privileged minority that, thanks to their knowledge, stands above their fellow citizens.

Paco, a literature professor who has lived in the capital for a long time, returns to his home region (Cuévano) to teach at a university. There, he meets a young woman named Gloria, who is the daughter of one of the wealthiest families in the area. One of his colleagues tells him that she suffers from a heart condition and that marrying her could even lead to her death.

Paco, while falling in love with her, also avoids her because he knows that Gloria is engaged to an engineer, but he cannot help dreaming about her, thinking about her, and stalking her, only to discover that she is seeing other men.

Paco rents a room. She has a view of Gloria’s window.
He goes to the balcony and sees Gloria talking to a man from her window (her fiancé). After the fiancé left, Gloria began to undress, not knowing that Paco is watching her.
However, he is disturbed by his landline phone that keeps ringing. Paco finally decides to go see who it was. When he returns, Gloria is no longer in front of her window.

Paco leaves his home. When he returns at night, he looks out his window hoping to see Gloria again. She is there, but this time the curtains have been drawn. While she changes her clothes, he has the opportunity to see her figure. Paco is frustrated, he goes to sleep while he sleeps. Gloria appears in his dream, all dressed in white. (nighty) She starts singing, he’s in a bed outside!

Gloria gets closer to him, goes up to his bed, grabs his head and gives him her breast (she is dressed). Paco caresses her nipple with his mouth. Gloria climbs on top of him and starts riding him, while continuing to sing!

Upon arriving in a large room, Paco notices that the woman’s lingerie is scattered everywhere. He opens the door and the woman is topless, wearing only stockings. She tells him:
