The Best Day of My Life is the story of a dysfunctional family as seen through the eyes of young Chiara (Maria Luisa De Crescenzo) who is about to receive her first communion. The family includes matriarch Irene (Virna Lisi) and her three grown up children.
Cheating Notes
The wife has an affair with a veterinarian she meets at a 'smokers anonymous' therapy group. They have a light intimate moment in his clinic near the beginning of the film (hugging and maybe some light kissing). They make out and have sex in the same clinic at 1:21:22. Their lovemaking scene is interspersed with the lovemaking scene of the wife's teenage daughter and her teenage boyfriend. Immediately after these interspersed scenes, the wife and the vet are shown fucking inside the wife's bedroom while her husband is watching. But apparently, it's just an imagination of the husband. Not sure if the husband knows that his wife is cheating at this point or he is just suspecting it, but he is surely angry as he cries and pounds his fists on the bed with his fist after imagining his wife and the vet's lovemaking.
