Gilby Smalls is having a meltdown. He's just been fired from his job, lost his apartment in a fire and his girlfriend gave him the boot. And it's only Wednesday. Cheating Notes
Gilby meets Rachel, his best friend Kevin's married sister when Kevin drags him to a family get-together (29:18). They hit it off immediately. When Rachel's husband hires Gilby to look after his company while he goes on a business trip to Paris, Gilby and Rachel get more opportunities to go out together. He joins her yoga class, they have a dinner date, they go to a sweat lodge, etc.
One night, Gilby and Rachel have had too many glasses of alcohol to drink while they stalk his real father in a bar (1:05:39). They end up having sex in her living room (1:08:20). She takes off her shirt but not her bra and her pants, and from their initial passionate petting, the scene skips to the immediate after-sex scene where they look at the ceiling while contemplating on what they just did.
Rachel comes to Gilby's office (her husband's office) and tells him that what happened last night shouldn't happen again, but they just end up having sex again, on top of her husband's desk (1:10:49). An employee of her husband sees them through the gaps in the window blinds.
Rachel and Gilby go out more while her husband is still out of town. They kiss on one of their dates (1:12:04), and they have sex in a hotel (1:12:19) but we only see the after-sex scene where they cuddle in bed while naked under sheets, talk, and make out (1:14:11).
Rachel's husband finds out about her affair and punches Gilby during her brother's surprise birthday party. Rachel's husband leaves her.
Gilby visits Rachel in the new place where she works. She tells him that what happened between them didn't really mean anything. But it seems she's lying because she ends up having passionate sex with him again (only the initial kissing is shown) (1:33:32).
Summary
I love that the hot wife was kissing her lover passionately in their trysts. It's too bad that the scenes were not explicit and non-nude.
