US merchant sailor Alex Walker (Kevin Anderson) is stranded in Mexico, penniless and wanted by the police. He meets and joins up with an unlikely couple - aging but likeable shit Phillip Mills (John Lithgow) and his young sexy, frustrated wife Missy (Rosanna Arquette). The three develop a curiously interdependent relationship. Meanwhile, Police Captain Diaz and Detective Ortega are closing in and the plot circle is closed at Tapachula rail station amidst a stack of mistakes and wrong decisions.
Cheating Notes
The wife kisses the guy at their dinner date (35:33). They then dance and kiss in the street while a big band is playing. Her husband sees them from his hotel room balcony and beats up the guy. To show her disapproval of what her husband did, the wife kisses the guy again in front of him.
Despite the confrontation, the guy still continues traveling with the couple. In a hotel room, the wife cuckolds her husband big time by kissing the guy in front of him while they're dancing (1:01:57). She also does a strip dance in front of the two guys and rejects her husband when he tries to take her panties off her. This entire scene must be watched in full and the dialog must be heard to really appreciate it.
The wife enters the guy's room and makes love to him (1:18:00). It's a bit disappointing and anti-climactic considering what happened during the previous cuckolding scene and she doesn't even take her clothes off.
