Plot
The story centers on two speleologists, Esteban and Pedro, who arrive in a remote mountainous village in northern Spain to explore a newly discovered cave, accompanied by Esteban's girlfriend Gabi; their expedition coincides with Gabi's grape and mu..er, igniting a chain of violence, deception, and greed among the locals as they search for the perpetrator and speculate about treasures in the cave.

A man is driving through a deserted village. He sees Gabi, a young mixed-race woman with short hair, wearing shorts and a t-shirt, come out of a house and get into an old SUV. He follows her. She drives away from the village, into the forest, stops, gets out of the car, sits down at the foot of a Scots pine tree, and looks through a notebook. He catches up with her, approaches her, attacks her, throws her to the ground, hits her, tears off her shorts, and tries to grape her.
But the young woman's friends (Esteban, Gabi's partner, and his friend Pedro) arrive and chase the criminal away before he can succeed. As the three of them return to the village in the SUV, they pass a man walking alone on the road. Shocked and in a daze, Gabi thinks she recognizes the man who attacked her. Esteban and Pedro attack the man. In fact, it wasn't the criminal, but Cecilio, a farmer from the neighboring village, who took refuge in his farmhouse, loaded his hunting rifle, and shot the strangers who had attacked him for no reason. The two young men ended up killing Cecilio. Gabi then realized that the farmer wasn't the man who had attacked her.
The three young men were city dwellers who had come to the small, isolated village for the weekend: Gabi was a bookseller, Esteban a teacher, and Pedro a photographer. The two men were speleologists and had been summoned by the villagers: a cave had recently been discovered nearby, the locals hoped it would attract tourists, and they had done their best to accommodate the three young men.
The mayor dreams of seeing the cave become a second Altamira, and on Saturday evening, upon their arrival, he showed the speleologists the entrance to the cave.
In the village, intrigues, resentments, and frustrations simmer: Rosa, the mayor's wife, is sleeping with Tomas, a young guardia civil (civil policeman), recently married to the daughter of Amadeo, his brigadier; Rosa dominates her lover, manipulates him, and, sure of her hold over him, dares him to break up...
