In a remote Icelandic town, an off duty police chief begins to suspect a local man to have had an affair with his wife, who has recently died in a car accident. Gradually his obsession for finding out the truth accumulates and inevitably begins to endanger himself and his loved ones. A story of grief, revenge and unconditional love.
"She liked fucking me, I liked fucking her. She liked it when I got bigger in her mouth. Is this what you want to hear you sick fuck?" - Wife's lover to her husband when the husband forces him to confess at gunpoint.
The husband goes through her recently deceased wife's belongings and through some pieces (a photo, a list, etc), he begins suspecting that she may have cheated on her with a father of one of her students (24:29).
At 1:24:30, the husband abducts his lover's wife and forces him to confess about their affair, extracting from him details like how many times they fucked (ten times or less) and where (at school and in her car). The lover eventually gets annoyed at the husband's line of questioning so he tells him things like "She liked fucking me, I liked fucking her. She liked it when I got bigger in her mouth. Is this what you want to hear you sick fuck?" This makes the husband lose his cool.
No sex scenes. There's a videotape of the wife and the husband making love (40:35) but we don't really see much in it. There's nudity at the end, when the husband remembers or imagines his wife wrapped in a towel and taking it off in front of him.
