As her marriage goes unconsummated and her emotional isolation grows, she reaches out to her closest girlfriend, Cam, who secretly desires her, but pushes her into the arms of Tho, a dangerous and provocative suitor.
Tho forces himself on Duyen the first time they meet, when she comes to his place to give him a letter from her friend Cam (26:01). He stops when it's clear she doesn't intend to give in.
Duyen comes with Tho to the beach and has sex with him (1:13:59). The sex is implied only. We only see him give her a foot massage, which she enjoys sensually, and cut her dress off with a knife.
Duyen and Cam get naked together on the bed, but they are not touching each other. I am not sure if this implies that they have lesbian sex (1:32:40), but most probably it does, because why would they get naked together in bed?
Tho and Duyen hug on the stairs (1:35:12).
