Teenager Carmín lives in a mountainous village in the center of Puerto Rico with her tough and conservative grandmother. Her mother left for the US without her. The arrival of her father, after long years in prison, eases Carmín’s profound sadness. The relationship with him, however, brings its own ambiguousness and complexities and as Carmín moves into womanhood this causes great confusion, mostly for her.
Cheating Notes
Teenager Carmín kisses the classmate she always hangs out with on the lips (40:57). I guess this makes him her boyfriend now.
Carmin and her boyfriend witness her father screw a woman in a car (51:30). The shot is too far so we don't really see much. In the next scene, the woman introduces her husband and her daughter to Carmin's father and her.
Carmin sees her father flirting with the wife at the hair salon where he works (54:40).
During a celebration in a bar, Carmin sees her father having sex with the wife in a car again. This time, the shot is closer but the wife doesn't get naked while she rides Carmin's father in the front seat. (1:05:26). An adult takes advantage of Carmin's drunkenness and mixed feelings with what she just saw. He takes her to the back of the bar and makes love to her. At the very least, he is able to finger/caress her pussy.
While smoking with her boyfriend in the woods, Carmin sees her father make love to the wife (1:09:28). This time, we get a better sex scene than their previous ones. The wife gets nude and we even see her ride Carmin's father's dick.
Armed with a machete, Carmin goes to the wife's house (1:12:09). The husband is there to receive her and thus, he is now aware of his wife's infidelity. This will lead to trouble.
Summary
An intense drama, and the cheating scene in the woods is hot.
