Josh Fosse is a 20-something guy whose life is going nowhere. His girl left him, his rent is late, and he lacks a real job. He is trying to make it as an app reviewer online and decides to review a self-help app called i-Lived for fun. He signs on and immediately his life turns around. He meets the girl of his dreams and he gets a job offer he can't refuse. Convinced it's him and not the app, he signs out... and loses everything. He signs on again but this time the terms are different, the app is asking him to do things that are out of his moral comfort zone, but which are essential to becoming the success the app tells him he can be.
Cheating Notes
Through the help of an app called i-Lived, Josh snags Greta in a bar. They make out in the car (14:37), have non-explicit sex after dancing in front of the fireplace (26:18), and have sex with nudity and action (40:37). To his mind, and with the app suggesting it, Josh considers Greta as his girlfriend now.
Josh quits the i-Lived app, thinking that it's all his skills that got him a job and a new girlfriend.
When Josh comes back to the bar, he sees Greta flirt with and kiss a new guy (46:55). When Greta notices him, she tells him that what they had was a no-strings-attached relationship, which he disagreed with because he doesn't remember that they talked about it and agreed that their relationship was to be so. He then follows her down the bar's basement and sees her screw the new guy on a couch (48:48).
