Luca, an Italian doctor escaped the city and is doing medical missions in Kenya, but life catches up with him when Mario, his close friend who is also a doctor, offers his assistance along with his wife, Ginevra, with whom he had an affair while Mario was in a coma due to a car accident.
Cheating Notes
Luca is working as a doctor in Kenya when his old friend Mario comes to him, saying he wants to help him in his medical mission.
At 49:23, we see a flashback scene where Ginevra, Mario's wife, visited Luca at his place before he went to Kenya. She meant to give him a going-away present and ended up having sex with him in the shower.
Through a flashback, we learn that Mario became comatose because of a car accident partially caused by Luca.
The two men fight and through their dialog, we learn that Mario knew that Luca fucked Ginevra while he was in a coma. So the cheating scene at 49:23 could be what Mario was talking about. Take note that Mario and Ginevra were still engaged to be married when he got into a coma.
The two men reconcile. Mario then sends Luca, along with Ginevra, back to Italy to get the money he has in the bank. This is dirty money, which he got from some shady medical dealings. It seems to be also the reason why he went to Kenya, and not really because he wanted to help Luca. He also couldn't get it himself because he will get arrested if he steps foot in Italy so he sends Luca and Ginevra instead.
When Luca and Ginevra get back to Italy, Ginevra comes into Luca's hotel room and fucks him. She's the one who makes the initial move, while Luca just lets himself get seduced because he really likes her.
Summary
Good one. Ginevra started out as a seemingly ok wife, pretty, charming, and genuinely nice. But in the end, she turned out to be a gold-digging slut who loves the easy life and would cheat on her husband and would steal from him, even seducing his best friend, to achieve it. I like her.
