Teresa cries at home alone while her husband Roberto is banging Vanessa, his mistress.
Teresa recalls the time he confessed to Elias, her boyfriend in the countryside, about having sex with Roberto while inebriated at a co-worker's birthday party (12:09). She resisted initially but gave in. She got pregnant and because of that, she married Roberto.
Teresa leaves Roberto and goes back to the countryside. She rekindles her relationship with Elias. They begin living together and have sex (32:19, 38:51, 46:12) a few times, but they cannot get married since Teresa's marriage to Roberto still stands.
Roberto starts living with Vanessa and they bear a child. When he goes out of job, Vanessa starts working at the club again. She has sex with a client for money (51:36) and becomes the client's steady mistress. Roberto gets his karma as it's his turn to wait at home while his partner is banging another guy.
Vanessa has sex with the client, now seemingly her lover and provider, in the bathtub and on the bed (1:06:17, 1:10:45). The guy's wife finds out and shoots both of them.
