A talented and renowned artist named Philip has enjoyed a happy life for ten years, married to Maria. However, his heart is captivated by a powerful feeling for Anna, who is the wife of his good friend Alexei. During dinner with friends, Maria takes note of Philip and Anna, his best friend Alexei's wife, being alone together in another part of the room when she and Alexei walk in (6:41). Later when the guests have left, she asks Philip if she likes Anna. He denies it.
Anna and Philip see Alexei off at the airport for his trip to Italy. Before leaving, Alexei asks Philip to take care of Anna. When she asks her husband why he chose Philip of all people, Alexei replies that no one else can be trusted. Oh it's nice to know that you have so much trust for Philip, Alexei. Now he is going to screw your wife several times while you are away.
With Alexei in Italy, Anna and Philip have a painting session by the beach and have sex on a picnic blanket in the sand (13:38).

Nice. I pity Maria for her suffering due to a husband who is in love and is screwing another man's wife.
