On the run from smugglers and the police, world-weary scavenger Arno (Benjamin Bratt) takes a job as a courier for a tycoon. But when the tycoon's yacht goes down in a storm, can Arno partner with a fellow sea scavenger to loot the ship's bounty? What awaits are diamonds, emeralds and gold. Guy Ferland directs this tropical noir film, which is based on a short story by Ernest Hemingway. Armand Assante co-stars.
Cheating Notes
Arno is having an affair with Janine, Jeanne-Pierre's neglected wife. He has sex with her for the last time (07:50, after-sex dialog only) because he wants to rekindle his relationship with Coquina, who is back in town.
The two couples, Arno and Coquina and Jeanne-Pierre and Janine team up to retrieve loot from a ship wreck.
Arno and Coquina have sex (54:56). We see her boobs as she undresses.
While diving in the water and under a diving bell, Janine proposes to Arno that they betray their partners. They kiss lightly (1:20:48). Meanwhile, back on the boat, Coquina agrees with Jeanne-Pierre to betray their partners. He approaches her and they make out (1:25:50). Arno emerges from the water and sees them—not kissing, exactly, but facing each other intimately, their hands resting against one another.
