Basil is the story of a sheltered, naive young aristocrat who finds a friend, John Mannion and through him meets Julia Sherwin. Basil falls in love with Julia, but she is below his class, and if his father finds out, he will be disinherited and sent away, as his older brother, Ralph was, when he unwisely did the same. How can Basil keep his love and his father's respect?

Cheating Notes

38:39 - Basil kisses Julia, a young woman below his class who is introduced to him by his new friend, John. They meet and have make-out sessions after that, but she seems to be reluctant doing it.

50:15 - Basil marries Julia without the knowledge of his father. As he is not 21 yet, her father forbids them to meet for sex or kissing.

51:49 - Basil tries to make out with Julia while they are behind John, who accompanies them because Julia's father trusts him. She makes him pay for their make-out sessions and also, if he wants to see more of her body. She makes out with him when he tells her he will give her Windermere Hall when he turns 21, but she stops after a while and cries.

57:54 - Basil comes to John's house and sees him sleeping in bed naked under the sheet with Julia. He leaves without waking them up, but when they go out later, he confronts them on the street and beats up John.

1:21:59 - A flashback scene. Julia was trying to make love to John on the bed. This was the time when Julia was already having her make-out sessions with Basil. John asked her to marry Basil or else she can't have him. She replied that she's already meeting Basil at his request, and now he wanted her to marry him? Nevertheless, she reluctantly agreed and gave John an implied blowjob.
