Kikay helps her mother in her small food business whose specialty is kikiam, a cheap street food. She is bullied by her affluent classmates in school not only for her financial status but also because one of the rich boys has fallen for her and has become her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Pekto, a street food vendor who gets his supplies from Kikay's mom, has trouble bringing in enough money to satisfy his materialistic wife. This dissatisfaction leads her to have an affair with a restaurant owner.
