Following the news of her grandfather's death, Effie decides to return to Acre, her hometown, to pay her last respects. In Acre she meets Keren, a substitute teacher, married and a mother of two. The two women immediately fall in love when Effie meets Keren's little daughter, Maya. She slowly discovers what and who made her leave the city so many years ago without returning. The love story becomes a journey of closing old accounts.
