Dayana is in an abusive marriage with former police officer Elias, owner of Motel Destino. When 21-year-old Heraldo finds himself at the motel after messing up a hit and going on the run, Dayana finds herself intrigued and lets him stay. As the two navigate a dance of power and desire, a dangerous plan for freedom emerges.
The young Heraldo uses a motel in a desert area of Ceará as a hiding place, running away from a group of criminals due to his failure with a hit that ends up badly for his brother. His initial plan was to do one final crime job and move to São Paulo to find an honest job. A couple runs the motel of the title, the middle-aged Elias and his wife Dayana, him as a manager and her as a multi-task receptionist. In return for helping him, Heraldo works at the motel fixing electrical things or whatever needs fixing and cleaning. In that conjunction of loners, Elias finds on Heraldo a hard-working friend and Dayana gets a new lover in a torrid affair, hidden from her husband and also from the customers who stay at the place (barely seen, mostly heard through loud sexual moaning in the background). Love blossoms with the new couple, but Heraldo still worries about his crime mates who are out to find him.
Cheating Notes
After a failed job because he doesn't show up, hired hitman Heraldo hides in the hotel of married couple Dayana and Elias and starts working there as an all-around handyman.
While teaching Heraldo how to put covers on a bed, Dayana engages in sexual innuendo, smiling naughtily at him while she says, "Spread them, stick it in, deeper, that's it Heraldo." (31:55)
