Ozren is raised in Vienna by his mother Silvija, who works as a prostitute, and his aunt and uncle. The film shows the demimonde of Vienna in the early 1990ies and deals with Ozren's finding out that his mother is not a waitress (as he was initially told) and with the way he copes with it.

You must have seen a scene in which his mom moves with a rich man in the car....later the son gets her phone number...and he calls ...a k..d picks up ...& he says can I speak to your mom (just to check his mom's status in the house)? K..d (a girl) replies just a moment.
Hence it's implied she married that man ...and kept his son in the dark...later she keeps on whoring....moreover cheating is very broad term not limited to husbands or relations one may cheat with norms & rules of the society.

Because rose (Heather) being a doctor (she might be aware of psychological impacts on human brain due to a big grief....like loss of offspring.)......so she sees a wonderful opportunity to heal herself as well as the k..d (destiny gives her a chance) ....by engaging in sex... where she not only sheds her emotions out ...(hence later returns to her husband) but also brings the k..d out of sort of depression in which he was completely shut-off from the world...so buddy she was not cheating ....actually she was healing...so what if she had a husband in the film?
She's not cheating dude. No idea why you write this wall of text. She's a prostitute...she has one client that is rich and is why you find her in the room at the end. The son thinks she's done whoring...but she isn't. She just has a rich client that takes care of her.
Although i like movies where the son witness mom being a whore...best to put that movie in other thread.
Ok, I watched/browsed the movie with subtitles.
@stealthwifelover, I see your point about the part where the son called her mom and the rich guy's daughter answered the phone. Yes, the daughter not objecting to the mommy word could mean that she became her stepmother, or it is possible that no marriage happened, maybe she just became a live-in girlfriend/kept woman and the rich guy just told her daughter to treat her as her mom. So that would make her either a cheating wife or a cheating gf later when she's still accepting clients. However, that part is not clear-cut too. Maybe something happened to her relationship with the rich dude already, especially if she's just a live-in gf. Maybe they already separated. And the wake at the end, I'm not sure if the rich dude is there and he's the one who facilitated and spent for that wake because it looks expensive, but the shot is an overhead shot and only the k..d can be positively identified because he fainted and we can see his face from the overhead shot. If we did confirm that he's the one who spent for it, then maybe she did become his wife.
All in all, I'd put this movie in the gray area and will put it in the thread I just created:
