Three friends discover a mysterious machine that takes pictures 24 hours into the future and conspire to use it for personal gain, until disturbing and dangerous images begin to develop.
Cheating Notes
(Major spoilers!)
The couple Callie and Finn, and their friend Jasper are roommates. They discover a mysterious machine in their neighbor's place that takes pictures 24 hours into the future. Their neighbor has been taking pictures of them through their window and they are posted in his wall. They found him dead in the storage room and concludes that they should follow whatever is in the upcoming pictures that the machine will print out or else they might suffer the same fate as their neighbor.
The machine prints out a picture of Callie and Jasper kissing while Finn is painting in front of them, his back turned against them (29:00). They feel that they have no choice but to make the picture a reality because of the consequence of death. So they setup everything as it was in the picture 24 hours later (32:47). Callie and Jasper sit on the couch and press their lips together while Finn begins to paint. The latter becomes so engrossed in his painting that he gets distracted for several minutes, not noticing that Callie and Jasper have started moving their lips and are now kissing for real. When he turns around, he sees his girlfriend and his best friend fully making out.
Eventually, the machine then prints out a picture of Callie and Jasper having sex while Finn is sleeping/unconscious on the couch behind them (1:18:10). This is more serious than just Callie and Jasper kissing. So do they have to also do it this time?
Well, it turns out not. Because Callie confesses to Finn that the the event in the photo already happened, last month during charades night (1:33:59). And then we see a few more photos of Callie and Jasper's trysts.
