Cheating Notes
(Spoilers!)
While they are having sex, Bella asks her lover Ted to kill her husband Arthur. She tells him that he always hurts her, especially when they are having sex, etc.
We see how Bella and Ted met. It was in a bar after he saved her from a perverted customer who tried to assault her. This began their affair and she had sex with him (7:37).
Ted kills Bella's husband when the latter goes mountain climbing. Or that's what's shown to us, initially. He then gets arrested, and the one who gave him to the cops is Bella herself! It turns out that she is just using him for her ultimate plan which involves the true love of her life, and also the true lover whom she is cheating on Arthur with: Vincent, her ex-boyfriend.
After Ted gets arrested, Bella meets Vincent and has sex with him (20:25). He was her boyfriend when Arthur, just her real estate client then, offered to marry her. She talked to Vincent about it, telling him that he would accept Arthur's proposal because he is rich, but that after she gets married, she and Vincent will continue their relationship and they could meet, say, three times a week. Vincent didn't agree with it and broke up with her, so she proceeded to marry Arthur.
Eventually, Vincent came back to Bella's life and we see their first sex after her marriage to Arthur (31:54).
When Bella comes home after meeting Vincent, she is surprised to find that Arthur, very much alive, and Ted, very much not in jail, are in the house, waiting for her! More plot twists are revealed in this confrontation.
Summary
(Spoilers!)
I wish it was the evil couple who survived to give the movie an ending with a darker tone. Imagine it: the wife can't stand the husband and will likely cheat on him again, but she can't leave him because of his money, and the husband can't stand the wife for cheating on him but he loves him dearly so he also couldn't leave her, or kill her. And so, they continue their uneasy relationship, now made strengthened by sharing the same experience in the crime in the finale, and the wife will remain a reluctant accomplice to her husband's sexual deviancy involving the rape and videotaping thereof, of women, and the husband will have to keep his eyes open, possibly for the rest of his life, for her future attempts at infidelity.
