Based on a true-to-life story, the film tackles a controversial subject: An affair between a young barrio lass and a priest.
Cheating Notes

At 1:33:20, the bride has sex on the beach in the pouring rain, with the priest who is going to officiate her wedding the next day. She was going to kill herself by drowning because the priest is the one she really loves. He stops her and their tryst follows after. The sex is tame, only the initial making-out is shown, and it's non-nude (I think I have watched a cut version). The groom sees them and cries but he doesn't confront them. The next day, on their wedding day, the groom tries to stab the priest but the bride gets in the way and is the one who gets stabbed.
