The two clients of the sex therapists in the film are both wives. At the beginning of the film, Mrs. Janet Colby is telling her sex therapist that she has the hots for a guy who currently lives in their guest cottage. She seduces him by swimming in the pool naked and wiping her naked body with her towel while he is standing in front of her. Nothing happens between them though because her husband is always around since he lost his job. At 43:28, we see Janet's first session at the sex therapy clinic. She first watches a couple get it on and then she joins them for a threesome. Her husband comes barging in and stops the therapy.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Gail Lightner is into bondage and forced sex, and through two therapy sessions with a sex surrogate, she is able to experience those fetishes (07:58 and 1:04:40).
