Min-gi and his wife Soon-im acquire a lodge when they learn that a highway is going to be built near it. However, after one year of operations, their lodging business is not picking up. Their creditor, who comes to collect their debt now and then, always looks at Soon-im in a lusty way. Soon-im is uncomfortable with his gaze but she has no choice but to tolerate him because of their debt to him. One day, the creditor suggests a proposal to Min-gi: he wants to sleep with Soon-im in exchange for the easing of his debt. Min-gi is forced to accept his request. Min-gi wants to propose it to Soon-im but he can't. Soon-im, who is able to read Min-gi's thoughts, accepts the creditor's request. While she is making love to the creditor, she feels guilty and is still thinking of her husband, so she convinces herself that she's doing it because she needs to.
