In Paris, the Chinese university student Hua is dumped by her lover. Hua wanders on the streets and the French worker Mathieu accidentally hits her face with the pipes that he is carrying on his shoulder. Mathieu apologizes to Hua and invites her to have dinner with him. When they leave the restaurant, Mathieu forces himself on her and then he accompanies her home. Hua is a promiscuous and submissive woman and she has a one-night stand with Mathieu. The unlikely couple begins a relationship based on a strong sexual desire. The insecure Mathieu decides to test Hua's fidelity and his friend Giovanni also rapes her. Their troubled relationship ends when Hua finds secrets about Mathieu's life and decides to return to China.
Cheating Notes
Hua is a young woman from Beijing who comes to Paris to study as well as go after her French lover whom she met and had an affair with back in Beijing (she cheated on her boyfriend it seems). The French lover doesn't want their affair to thrive in Paris and dumps her. She wanders alone in the streets of Paris and meets Matthieu and long story short, they become a couple.
Matthieu's friend jokingly substitutes himself with him in making out with Hua at a club (28:50).
Matthieu makes a bet with his friend that he can't seduce Hua and makes her come with him alone. End result, the friend's ego cannot accept that Hua is rejecting her and so he rapes her. Watch the film with subtitles to see how they resolve it.
In the third act, Hua comes back to Beijing to become a translator, also because she finds out that Matthieu is already married. She reunites with her ex-boyfriend and accepts his proposal of marriage. After that, she comes back to Paris and fucks Matthieu, despite being engaged already.
Several sex scenes between Hua and Matthieu throughout the film. She moans passionately.
