A young Danish man, Christoffer has escaped his Danish family in Denmark and is comfortably ensconced in Stockholm as a successful restaurateur, living with his beautiful actress-girlfriend Maria. When his father dies, his mother insists that Christoffer take over management of the family industry which is in danger of bankruptcy. He is torn between his chosen life and his sense of duty to his family and its past. When he chooses to step in as manager his family life and self-respect languish.
Cheating Notes
When Christoffer arrives in Stockholm from Denmark and goes directly to his restaurant, he sees his girlfriend Maria kissing a guy named Alfred on the lips (57:38). He asks her later at home if she slept with Alfred. At first, she denies it and then eventually admits it but that it happened only once.
