When the girl that detective Joe Hallenback is protecting gets murdered, the boyfriend of the murdered girl (ex-football player Jimmy Dix) attempts to investigate and solve the case. What they discover is that there is deep seated corruption going on between a crooked politician and the owner of a pro football team.

Bruce Willis comes home in the morning and finds his wife's lover hiding in the closet. Apparently, his wife does not expect him to be home a day early from Las Vegas. His wife's lover also turns out to be his friend. Too bad, we don't get to see any sex scene.

Joe Hallenbeck, a former Secret Service agent, is now a private investigator. He's a completely lost, alcoholic man. He sometimes works for his best friend, Mike Matthews. Joe has just discovered that Mike is sleeping with his wife, Sarah. Despite this, Mike offers him a job: to protect a stripper named Cory. Just after giving Joe the young woman's address, Mike dies in a car explosion right in front of Joe's house.
Mike Matthews calls Joe's office to leave a message about a job, but is surprised to find him there because Joe's wife, Sarah, told Mike he would be in Vegas!
(Mike probably did this to make sure he was in Vegas and hoped that upon his return he wouldn't stop by the house and would go directly to his mission)
Why would Mike do that? Because he's Sarah's lover, and when Joe is away, he's the one who warms his bed. "Keep it warm for me, Mike."
Joe comes home unexpectedly and finds him hidden in the closet.
Unfortunately, there is no sex scene
Sarah is very attractive. The idea of her sleeping with Mike is very exciting.
(I have a fetish for ugly men who sleep with beautiful women. Mike is truly disgusting, a fat guy with the bad taste to wear a mustache. Even in the 90s, it was out of fashion.)
Sarah must have been so desperate to sleep with him (but maybe he's a good lover).
Not to mention that Sarah probably did it to punish Joe for never being home.
A series of extensive re-writes were completed and cutbacks in the narrative presence of Hallenbeck’s wife, who was more involved in the original script, but was written out at the request of Willis, who was worried about similarities between his new film and Die Hard.
If you don’t like this kind of movie, you won’t get anything out of it. The writer wanted to show us that Joe was a cuck. It’s up to you to decide if it was worth mentioning here.
