Two Autumns in Paris tells the love story of Maria Teresa and Antonio when they were young. Many years later the love story happened, it's autumn and Antonio arrived in Paris, at this moment he faces the memories of an unforgettable love that scarred him forever and changed the course of his life. He arrived in Paris invited to give a conference about human rights and in the journey that leads from the airport to the event hall, reconstructs moment to moment, the love story he lived when he was young with the beautiful Maria Teresa, a young Paraguayan, political refugee who escaped from her country to save herself from the criminal repression of the dictatorship of the bloodthirsty general Alfredo Stroessner. In Paraguay, Maria Teresa was a member of a university student political group, opposed to the dictatorship, whose leader was her boyfriend Ramon. One night, when they were involved in a clandestine activity, they were detained by the regime's military police and locked in a prison. Maria Teresa and Antonio fell in love and even got the idea of having a child, but at the time of greater commitment and dedication, the past becomes present changing all. They decided to live together, and Antonio changed his way to see everything, María Teresa transformed him, but at the end, she had to decide between her present love and her past.
Cheating Notes
The last Maria Teresa saw Ramon, her boyfriend and leader of their student resistance, was when they were in jail and he was being tortured and she was raped (51:22). She became a political refugee in Paris after that while her boyfriend's fate became unknown.
In Paris, Maria Teresa met and fell for Antonio, a lawyer from Venezuela who came to Paris to give a conference about human rights.
Maria Teresa made love to Antonio just shortly after they met (17:26). She cried afterward, maybe guilty because she just had great sex while her boyfriend Ramon could be being tortured in prison right at that moment. Later on, she and Antonio also have sex in the bathtub (46:03) and she becomes his fiancée.
When Maria Teresa found out on the phone that her boyfriend Ramon was alive, she recalled the memory of them having sex beside a falls (1:19:33) (only their initial make-out is shown but we see her tits). When Antonio came home that night, she made love to him for the last time, and then a few days later, she left him and it was implied that she did so to be with Ramon again.
