That day was the thirteenth-day death anniversary of Takashi's father. Despite the approaching time for the memorial service, Takashi and his wife, Mio, devoured each other while in mourning. The memorial service was held at Takashi's older brother Hajime's home, whose wife is Misako and son is Masaki. Takashi hurriedly left the house after the service to go to his mistress Yuki's place and make love to her. Meanwhile, Mio was also having an affair with her brother-in-law and had sex with him in her mourning dress at a hotel after Takashi left. The next day, Masaki went to his girlfriend's place and asked her why she's not answering her phone. His girlfriend turned out to be Yuki.
