"The Hunger" was a horror anthology series where the hosts Terence Stamp (in season 1) and David Bowie (in season 2) eccentrically introduce each of the steamy, erotic and often supernatural tales of power, sex, lust, and driving urges.
Originally shown on the Sci Fi Channel in the UK, The Movie Network in Canada and Showtime in the US, the series was broadcast from 1997 to 2000, and is internally organized into two seasons. Each episode was based around an independent story introduced by the host; Terence Stamp hosted each episode for the first season, and was replaced in the second season by David Bowie. Stories tended to focus on themes of self-destructive desire and obsession, with a strong component of soft-core erotica; popular tropes for the stories included cannibalism, vampires, sex, and poison.
Cheating Notes
The best episodes for me would be: S2.E13 ∙ I'm Very Dangerous Tonight, S2.E10 ∙ Triangle in Steel, S1.E8 ∙ No Radio, and S1.E3 ∙ Necros, but it's worth checking most of the episodes out, including the non-cheating ones.
S1.E3 ∙ Necros
William Cobb comes to New Orleans during Mardi Gras and falls in love with a beautiful woman who is the mistress of a strange old man. Here, true nature is revealed after he and the woman share a night of passion.
Hot sex scene between William Cobb and the old man's mistress(?) near the end of the episode.
S1.E4 ∙ The Secret Shih Tan
A master chef is given the opportunity by a eccentric, rich man to prepare a recipe from a secret book of forbidden recipes called the "Shih Tan".
This episode has a girlfriend-sharing situation, kinda. The rich man has an Asian mistress whom he lets to have sex with the master chef, for a certain purpose. The sex scene between the chef and the Asian mistress is very sensual/emotional.
S1.E8 ∙ No Radio
A bored wife cheats on her wealthy husband with a sleazy guy. When a loan shark threatens him, the lover "kidnaps" her and demands ransom from her husband. This reveals the true nature of her and her husband's strange relationship.
The best sex scene between the wife and her lover was the one where she was a kidnapee of his.
S2.E3 ∙ Dream Sentinel
A stripper is being visited by the ghost of a killer who wishes to protect and possess her.
It's not clear if the ghost is the stripper's lover but she does let him "come into her." He gets jealous when she brings home a man to fuck.
S2.E9 ∙ Sin Seer
A man can see someone's innermost desires by looking into their eyes. When he looks into the eyes of his psychiatrist, he sees murder.
The man looks into a waitress's eyes and sees a vision of her getting fucked by two men in front of her tied and gagged husband. After the first guy is done doing her doggy-style, she calls the second guy to give him a blowjob. The two guys seem to be robbers and I'm not sure if the couple is role-playing or the wife is really banging the robbers in front of her husband without his consent.
The man looks into his psychiatrist's eyes and sees a vision of him having an affair with a married female client of his.
A pretty decent episode. The sex scenes were there in the two mentioned scenarios above but I wished they had shown more of them.
S2.E10 ∙ Triangle in Steel
A man sleeps with his boss's young wife, a young Mohawk woman, and discovers that his life is in serious danger.
Great cheating scene between the Indian wife and the new guy (her much older husband's new subordinate at the construction site) near the end of the episode, because she was being hard to get and feisty towards him before that. I like the fact that she had that seemingly impenetrable personality, impervious to the advances of horny men, but then we see a little hint that she could have some slutiness inside her, just waiting to be brought out by a courageously dumb guy who could say the right words to her, when she wore a sexy red top at the bar and was doing a little gyrating dance move and throwing guarded glances at her husband's new subordinate while she was with her female friend. Her jacket on top of her red top was probably buttoned up when she left home and was saying goodbye to her husband and she just unbuttoned it later when she reached the bar.
S2.E13 ∙ I'm Very Dangerous Tonight
A man discovers a dress at a high-end fashion store. He buys it for his wife only to discover that the dress has powers to both seduce and kill.
After the wife wears the dress, her personality changes and she seduces a man at a party in front of her husband, his dad, his business partners, etc. The man is an FBI agent interested in her husband's felonious corporate activity. She grabs his dick and pets with him. When the husband tries to intervene, his dad stops him, telling him that she needs to do this, that she wants to make sure she's still attractive and that's fine as long as he's the one she goes home with at the end.
After she is done with the FBI agent, the wife leads her father-in-law to a private room and fucks him. She rides him hard. The husband takes a peek from the open door and sees her climax while she rides his father. He leaves crying and goes to his car to get a gun. The wife and her father-in-law prepare to go to second round, with her body pressed by his against the wall, but his own wife (also a hot, young one) comes in and interrupts them. The husband then comes back to the room with the gun...
S2.E15 ∙ Bottle of Smoke
After rummaging through her late aunt's belongings, a married woman finds a genie in a bottle that can fulfill all of her sexual desires.
The wife has sex with the genie but the latter is just represented as a wisp and not a person.
S2.E16 ∙ The Perfect Couple
A troubled married couple is given a potion that allows them to read each others' thoughts. Things do not go well for them.
During an art exhibit, the husband has sex with his lover up against a wall while the wife's lover starts making love to her in another room but she rejects him. The sex between the husband and his lover is great.
S2.E22 ∙ The Suction Method
A philandering husband is left alone with a beautiful blond carpet cleaner when his wife leaves town for a weekend.
At the start of the episode, the philandering husband fucks a neighbor's wife and also has phone sex with her while she's in the tanning bed a few scenes later.
