Chiyo, an ukiyo-e artist who was a disciple of Katsushika Hokusai, travels around the country with her husband Shinnosuke, devoting herself to training in painting. One day, Chiyo happens to meet Kiyoko and Yasuke, a married couple, and discovers that their sex life is not going as planned. She comes up with a brilliant idea and tries to help them.

Chiyo, an ukiyo-e artist, travels around the country with her husband Shinnosuke, devoting herself to training in painting. The couple comes across Kiyoko and Yasuke, a married couple, and learns about their troubled sex life: Yosuke is unable to maintain an erection, and Kiyoko tends to bite him when she orgasms, an event that hasn't happened in quite some time.
At the beginning of the film, we see Yasuke watch his tied-up wife, Kiyoko, get screwed by Shinnosuke in front of him, and while Chiyo is drawing them. He grabs a sword and threatens to cut Shinnosuke if he doesn't stop screwing his wife. When Shinnosuke refuses, it looks like he is about to swing his blade, but the scene cuts off and we don't know what the outcome is, and the movie's storytelling goes back to the beginning, when the two couples have just met.
Chiyo seduces and kisses Yasuke in the woods when she helps him gather firewood (28:40). She informs him that Shinnosuke is having a nude drawing session with Kiyoko at that moment and something sexual might happen and leads him back to his home, where they secretly peek at the two. They witness Shinnosuke fingering Kiyoko pussy and pleasuring her with an eggplant in their supposed drawing session.
During a drinking session, Shinnosuke starts caressing Kyoko's breasts in front of Yasuke (38:48). Chiyo makes her move and starts working on Yasuke as well. The two swapped pairs begin making love in front of each other until Yasuke stops and tells them no more.
The movie proceeds to the scene that was partially shown at the beginning of the film (54:03). This time, the scene is extended and we get to find out whether Yasuke swings his sword and cuts down Shinnosuke or not.
